History: Green Crack is said to be a cross between a 1989 Super Sativa Seed Club, Skunk #1 , aka Skunk No. 1, and an Afghani landrace. The strain was reportedly named Cush by its original breeder, Cecil C., then renamed Green Crack by Snoop Dogg to refer to what the rapper and cannabis activist perceived as potent, sativa-like effects. Online sources say the strain grows short, vegetates quickly and flourishes both indoors and outdoors. Its resinous buds are reportedly small and densely clustered, and the plant flowers in 49-to-56 days. The strain won a 3rd place for Best Sativa at the Denver High Times Cannabis Cup in 2015.
I decided to try this medicine first thing in the morning because of the rumors I had heard about this strain. It definitely is a great morning strain to get your day going right! It helps with pain quite a bit but does have the potential to increase anxiety… or perhaps I was just having higher anxiety than normal, but I did notice it was heightened. I had purchased this strain when it was first being sold in Arkansas and I was not nearly as impressed as I am now. I noticed from the nuggets that they were much denser than the first time I purchased it and the aroma didn’t smell like hay. Bravo Osage, you are starting to nail it because another strain I purchased from you also had amazing nuggets.
The taste seemed quite earthy to me and the aroma was very pungent and distinguishable from the other strains. Prices in Arkansas are just too high in general so it’s hard to comment currently on the price. This is great medicine, but it is still too expensive for some patients too afford, so really looking forward to when ALL of Arkansas has lower prices! I guarantee though if you have the additional cash, you will fall in love with this strain! Not one I would try at night unless you want to be cleaning, listening to a book and walking the dog all at the same time.
