Punky Lion by Osage Creek Cultivation and picked up at Green Springs Medicinal is a cross of Chronic x Mantanuska Tundra. With both of its parents being 100% Indicas, it should have a long lasting effect that would leave patients sedated and/or inebriated. Its often suggested to treat the symptoms of anxiety, depression, insomnia, multiple sclerosis and muscle spasms.
The look and jar appeal rates 8 out of 10. This sample is a medium green color with blond pistils. Tricombs are some what cloudy. Bud structure is dense and sizes range from pea to grape sized. The smell rates 8 out of 10. It’s almost like a chocolate covered berry with notes of musty citrus fruit. The half gram sample was cut with surgical scissors so not to pollute the flower sample with terps from other strains left in my grinder. The cure rates 8 out of 10. The trim on this sample is decent.
There were a couple small clips I made as I was trimming. It passes the squeeze test by rebounding to its original shape to prove that the moisture content is optimal. The taste rates 7 out of 10. This ine is a bit of a mystery to me. If others have tried this strain please comment what you think it tastes like. I got spice and citrus but there’s a terp I’m getting on the exhale that I cant nail down. I cant be sure but I’m leaning toward Humulene which can taste wood like or earthy. The effect rates 6 out of 10.
The half gram sample wasnt enough to fully medicate me. The euphoria is present but not overwhelming. I feel a calmness come over me that I would lead me to suggest it be used for anxiety, ADHD, or mood stabilization. The body effect is minimal for me today. I do feel a little muscle relaxation but no tingle or nerve pain reduction with this dose. Over all that gives Punky Lion 7.4 in AMCO’s high opinion.
