The Look
~ The look rates 7 out of 10. This eighth of an ounce sample is made up of several pieces, some even too small to be called popcorn. I’m also not a fan of the packaging being colored the same as their in house grow when this flower is from an outside cultivator. By doing this I think they are robbing their own branding. As for the flower itself, the pear green color is mostly uniform throughout.

The Smell
~ The smell rates 8 out of 10. I’m a fan of anything with Pinene and its the first that jumps out at me. The Caryophyllene in the sample has spicy notes but not so clove like. There is also a sweetness that would probably be a reach to say it a gum like smell. It’s probably Linalool in my opinion.

The Taste
~ The taste rates 7 out of 10. The dry hit (pulling air thru an unlit joint) tastes like pine and citrus with a touch of skunkiness. Once I put fire to the OCB wrapped half gram joint, I noticed that the terpenes didn’t transfer to the taste as well as I expected. This is not one of NSM’s more flavorful strains this time around. The spiciness flavor of the Caryophyllene is the most dominate terp in the taste.
The Cure
~ The cure rates 7 out of 10. Under magnification you can see that the exterior tricomb heads have been decapitated. I have noticed this happening on multiple products lately. I’m sot sure of the cause, whither it be sifted when trimmed or handled rough, but the issue spans multiple cultivators. The inside of the buds are filled with tricomb heads and beautifully glisten. I’d like it to have more amber colored tricombs than the few that were present. The clear to clouded ratio is an even 50/50. The buds all passed the squeeze test but my scissors didn’t gum up when cutting it up.
few heads turned amber
The Effect
~ The effect rates as 8 out of 10. Now that I’ve medicated and read what I wrote so far, I realize I got on a soap box or two. Gorilla Gum had a nice calming effect on my mind. I also noticed that it eased my body’s aches and lowered my nerve pain. The Caryophyllene terp that was so heavy in the taste is a known pain reliever. I think with a little fine tuning from Natural State Medicinal, this would be a great benefit to Suite 443’s lineup. It’s not long acting yet. If there were more amber heads on the tricombs, it would increase the couch lock feeling. There was adequate euphoria but that’s not what I want in an Indica dominate. This should be a pillow hugging, body hugging relief med, in my high opinion.

Overall
~ Overall Gorilla Gum rates 7.9 for this run. It has potential for extreme pain relief. I’m looking forward to trying a future harvest.
