~ The look of this is a perfect 10 out of 10. This eighth of an ounce sample is made up of four dense buds. It’s a forrest green in color with purple patches and burnt orange tightly woven pistils.
~ The smell rates 9.5 out of 10. I believe I’m smelling Terpinolene. It’s one of the more complex terps that can mimic or present as a mix of pine, hibiscus, and citrus notes. Other strains known to carry this terpene are Ghost Train Haze, Chernobyl, and Jack Herer. This terpenne is known to aid in anti-fungal and antibacterial properties. I’m also smelling the peppery scent of Caryophellene subtly tucked behind the skunkiness of Myrecene. I’m also getting a berry aroma when cutting up the flower with scissors. The pungentness is wonderful.
~ The taste rates 9 out of 10. I twisted up a half gram in an OCB Virgin paper. I’m tasting floral notes that I believe are the terpene Alpha-bisabolol. The Pinenene is strong and will get your taste buds popping. It also has citrus and turpentine flavors mixed in there as well.
~ The cure rates 8 out of 10. Almost all the tricomb heads are clouded in color. I found a few amber colored heads on the inside of the flower. The buds quickly regain their shape when squeezed and I didn’t get a rough throat hit. Tricomb decapitation seem to still be an issue as it is with so many other strains.
~ The effect rates 7 out of 10. I’m having a rough start that is a hard 9 out of 10 on the pain scale. The half gram dose dont give me the nerve pain relief I needed. Muscle relaxation is achieved. It took a second dose to get a grip on the nerve pain. As a mood stabilizer, I find it quite calming.
~ Overall NSM’s Sunset Magic rates 8.7 out of 10 in my high opinion. I look forward to using this again when my pain level isn’t so intense.
