AMCO’s Review of Banana Magic by Natural State Medicinal and purchased from Green Springs Medicinal. ~ This is our second review of this strain. It gets it’s genetics from crossing Banana Kush and Miracle Alien Cookies. We last reviewed this strain July 18th of this year.

The Look
~ The look rates 9 out of 10. This eighth of an ounce is made up of 6 different sized pieces that vary between pea sized to strawberry sized. The coloration of this crop is remarkably different than last time. There are beautiful purple spots over the bright green flower. The buds are mostly round in shape.

The Smell
~ The smell rates 6 out of 10. There is a scent that I can’t quite put my finger on. Let’s call it leafy. I think after it ages a little more it would go away. My editor thinks it smells like breaking a branch from an elm tree. There is a faint hint of Myrecene and Caryophyllene. This sample isn’t very pungent.
The Cure
~ The cure rates 7 out of 10. I was able to find a few amber tricombs under magnification, but most are clouded. It is a 70% Indica dominate so the amber colored tricombs should be more plentiful. More amber tricombs give it a better medical value in my high opinion.

The Taste
~ The taste rates 9 out of 10. After wrapping a half gram of flower in an OCB Virgin paper with a clean glass tip, I spark it up and give it a taste. There is a nice sourness but Myrcene and Caryophyllene are the dominate flavors.

The Effect
~ The effect rates 8 out of 10. After I’ve smoked only half the joint I have a head high that distracts me from my PTSD and some of my pain. I find the half gram dose to be sufficient in pain reduction for both muscle and chronic type pain. For an Indica dominate it’s the sedation is minimal.

Overall
~ Overall this gets an AMCO average of 7.8 out of 10. That’s a small 0.4 point improvement from last time. The close up images are impressive and I look forward to trying this in a concentrate.
